In March of 2000, Scott Systems placed its entire suite of programs on a large IBM iSeries computer and began renting software and services to its own customers. Upgrades and errors are corrected in realtime and made available to its customers instantly. There are no version changes because the software is constantly being modified to meet its customers’ needs.
Customers’ data is guaranteed 100% secure and backed up several times during the day. Customers may access the software and their data from anywhere an Internet connection is available. Employees can work from their homes or from a Wi-Fi connection anywhere in the world.
The software and data is integrated to remote locations, including retail stores and satellite bulk plants and offices. Additions or changes made from anywhere affect all users on the network.
